Gardner, Abram, deceased, Pownal, (North Pownal p. o.), was born in Bennington, March 28, 1804, and came to Pownal about 1853, where he died December 26, 1887. He was engaged in farming, and at the time of his death owned seven hundred and thirty acres. His wife was Julia Ann Brimmed, and they had a family of four children: Catharine married Hiram Wilson, and now has one child, Frank A. Wilson, who is postmaster at Pownal; Merritt, Dewey C., and Frank B. Mrs. Gardner was a daughter of Abram and Evelyn (Pratt) Brimmer, of Hoosick, N. Y.
