Biography of Faxon L. Bowen

Bowen, Faxon L., Readsboro, was born in Whitingham, Vt., December 19, 1836, and came to Readsboro with his parents, Lorenzo and Beulah D. (Blanchard) Bowen, in 1838. Mr. Bowen is an attorney and counselor-at-law, and master in chancery, and has been assistant judge since 1886. He has also served his town as justice of the peace, selectman, town agent, overseer of the poor, grand juror, etc. He was married November 28, 1861, to Armeda C. Sherman. They have had five children: Addie A., Marion G. E., wife of Roscoe A. Leavitt, of Readsboro; Faxon L., born October 11, 1869, died in Febuary, 1870; Alta B. C., and Faxon L. Mrs. Bowen was a daughter of Rev. N. D. and Salina B. (Parsons) Sherman.
