ADAMS, O. E., Arlington, was born in Plymouth, Windsor county, Vt., January 26. 1845. On January 28, 1862, he
enlisted in Company D, Seventh Vermont Volunteers; was discharged August 30, 1864, and came to Arlington in April,
1870. He commenced business as a general merchant, being a member of the firm of A. S. Adams & Sons, and in
1880 bought the interest of A. S., and the firm is now O. E. Adams. He has served as selectman, and was appointed
postmaster July 20, 1885. His parents were A. S. and Lovina (Wheeler) Adams, of Plymouth, At. He was married February
26, 1867, to Jennie A. Kent. They have two children: Charles A. and Jennie Maud. Mrs. Adams was a daughter of Ashley
and Mary (Cook) Kent, of Mt. Holly, Vt.
