Entered railway service 1880, since which he has been consecutively 1880 to April 1882, topographer Denver & Rio Grande Rd; April 1882 to Nov. 1882, with the Texas Santa Fe & Northern Ry; since Nov. 1882, has been engaged on the construction of Denver & Rio Grande Western Ry in Utah, which road is now known as the Rio Grande Western, and has held various positions with latter road, being engineer, resident engineer at Salt Lake City until 1897, and 1897 to Feb. 1, 1902, chief engineer; from Feb. 1, 1902 to date, he has been chief engineer Denver & Rio Grande Rd System at Denver.
