WEBB GRIFFITH, manufacturer of and dealer in lumber, Kane, is a son of Thomas Griffith, and was born in Ebensburg,
Cambria Co., Penn., in 1860. He remained with his parents untill 1885, when he removed to Kane, and became associated
with his brother, J. T. Griffith, in business, dealing extensively in lumber, and operating mills at Kane and Griffith's
Station. They employ a number of men, and handle from 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 feet of lumber annually. Mr. Griffith
is a stockholder in the Citizens' Gas Company, and is largely interested in the production of petroleum, owning
twelve producing wells. He is one of the prosperous young men of Kane, his success being the result of energy and
business ability. He is a member of Kane Lodge, No. 566, F. & A. M.; in politics he is a Republican.
