C. D. COMES, lumberman, P. O. Digel, a son of D. D. and Polly V. (Smith) Comes, natives of Pennsylvania, was
born in Keating township, McKean Co., Penn., June 13, 1855. He has always lived with his parents, and at the present
time has control of a mill in company with his father. They are sawing 4,000,000 feet of lumber per year, and peeling
2,500 cords of hemlock bark.
