RICHARD T. CALVERT, Blacksville, West Virginia, was born in Wayne Township, Greene County, Penn., April 16,
1836. He is a son of John and Eleanor Calvert (nee Thralls). His father was born in Mapletown. After marriage they
lived in this county until his mother's death which occurred in 1857. His father then married Margaret, daughter
of James Marshall. She died February 9, 1888; her husband is still living. Richard Calvert's wife was Sarah J.
Conklin, born in this county December 1, 1832. They were married October 19, 1859. Mrs. Calvert's parents were
Josiah and Cassandra (Brown) Conklin, deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Calvert have five children, three living: Cassie A.,
Thomas and John; Martha E. and an infant bethg deceased. Mr. Calvert is a farmer, and by industry and good management
has made a good home for himself and family where he now lives, on a 228 acre farm in Wayne Township.
