Savino Pelliccioni, an enterprising merchant of Cresson, is a native of Italy, where he was born April 9, 1890.
He is the son of Caesar and Louise Pelliccioni.
Caesar Pelliccioni came to this country from Italy in 1905, but later returned to his native land, where he now
lives retired. His wife is deceased. They had eight children, one of whom is deceased.
Savino Pelliccioni was 15 years old when he came to America with his father. He followed farming in Italy before
here and after locating in Cresson he entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He lived later at Nanty
Glo, Gallitzin and Portage. Mr. Pelliccioni worked at various positions and after settling in Cresson he became
interested in the grocery and meat business. He has been successful and owns an up to date store at 127 Penn Avenue,
where he carries a high grade line of meats and groceries.
On Jan. 29, 1912, Mr. Pelliccioni was united in marriage with Miss Marian Josephine Notondare, also a native of
Italy. They have four children: Helen, Louis, Aurelius and Louise.
Mr. Pelliccioni is a member of the Catholic Church and the Italian Society of America.
