John H. Morrow. Ranking among the successful young men of Johnstown, is John H. Morrow, a World War veteran.
He is a member of the firm of Brown & Morrow, druggists, 150 Fairfield Avenue. He was born at Conemaugh, Pa.,
Dec. 8, 1895, and is the son of James K and Margaret (George) Morrow.
James M. Morrow was born in Armstrong County, Pa. He has been a resident of Johnstown for many years and is a locomotive
engineer in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad. His wife was also born in Armstrong County. Mr. and Mrs. Morrow
have three children: Hazel, married Burton L. Good, lives at Columbus, Ohio; John H., the subject of this sketch;
and Edna, at home.
John H. Morrow attended the public schools of Conemaugh and Western Reserve University, Cleveland, from which he
received his degree in pharmacy with the class of 1918. He then enlisted in the army for service during the World
War and was sent to Camp Holabird, Md., with the Motor Transport Corps. After his discharge Mr. Morrow returned
to Johnstown, and entered the employ of the Cohen Drug Company as a pharmacist. In 1921 he formed a partnership
with Herbert J. Brown, and they conduct a general drug and prescription business.
Mr. Morrow was married Jan. 12, 1921, to Miss Florence Kaufman, the daughter of I. J. and Emma Kaufman, of Johnstown.
Mr. Morrow is a member of the United Brethren Church, Masonic Lodge and Knights of the Mystic Chain. He is a Republican.
