P. E. Kritzer is a progressive young business man of Emeigh. He was born in Jefferson County, Pa., Feb. 2, 1899,
and is a son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Oris) Kritzer.
Andrew Kritzer and his wife are natives of Europe. After their marriage they came to this country and settled in
Jefferson County, Pa. They now live at Columbus, Ohio, where Mr. Kritzer is identified with the Federal Glass Company.
There were seven children born to Mr. and Mrs. Kritzer, one of whom died in infancy.
P. E. Kritzer spent his boyhood at Sagamore and Emeigh, and at the age of 16 years began work in the mines in the
employ of the Cherry Tree Coal Company. Later he attended Indiana Normal School, after which he became identified
with the Central Trading Corporation. He has served as manager in the local branch since 1924. G. E. Metzger, of
Saint Benedict, is president, and F. N. Artley, of Spangler, general manager.
On Dec. 10, 1924, Mr. Kritzer was married at Patton to Miss Catherine May Craver, of Emeigh, a daughter of Clark
Craver, deceased.
Mr. Kritzer is a Republican, a member of the Presbyterian Church and is affiliated with the Independent Order of
Odd Fellows. He is well known throughout Cambria County.
