PETER BINAU, Jr., son of George and Elizabeth Binau, was born in this township September 25, 1851. He was married in Richland County, Ohio, September 27, 1876, to Miss Elizabeth Schmunk, and one son and one daughter have been born to them, Harry, born September 18, 1879, and Edith, born July 11, 1882. Mr. Binan has forty acres of good farming land in Salem Township, valued at $75 per acre. He was educated in the common schools, and has spent his entire life in the rural districts, engaged in agricultural pursuits. He is a Democrat in political sentiment, and has served one term as Constable. Mr. Binau and his wife are both members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
