JOHN SHARP, farmer; P. 0. Piqua. To the above name, we are pleased to accord a space in this volume; he was
born in Ireland in 1814, and is a son of William and Jane (Ginn) Sharp, who were both natives of Ireland where
they lived and died. John was the only child born to them; he was raised to farming, and in 1833, emigrated to
United States and located in Piqua, this county, where he, in 1852, married Sarah A. Correll, who was a native
of New Jersey, and is a daughter of John B. and Sarah Correll, who were both born in New Jersey, and are now dead.
John and Sarah Sharp are the parents of four children, viz., Sarah J., Mary E., Rebecca C. and Bayard. After the
above marriage, they made several changes, bought and sold land several times, mostly out of this county, but in
1870, bought their present farm of 80 acres, in Sec. 15, whereon they moved, and are now comfortably situated for
