William Gustav Scheub, secretary and treasurer of the France Stone Company, was born in Bloomville, Ohio, September
23, 1886, a son of John and Heinricka (Seufert) Scheub.
William G. Scheub obtained a public school education and afterward took up' the profession of teaching, which he
followed successfully for four years. He felt that the field of labor was without proper remuneration, however,
if one desired to win financial success and therefore he discontinued his labors in the schoolroom and began his
business career as timekeeper for the France Stone Company in 1909. Gradually he advanced in this connection and
was elected secretary and treasurer' of the corporation, which also controls seven other corporations, and of three
of these Mr.. Scheub is the secretary and treasurer. Large interests are thus under his executive management to
a considerable extent and in business affairs he displays sound judgment and discrimination, his enterprise and
his wisdom beingmanifest in the success which has followed his labors.
On the 19th of July, 1911, Mr. Scheub was joined in marriage to Miss Ethel Rosenbush of Union City, Indiana, and
they have become parents of four children: Ada Marie; Mary Elizabeth, William Henry and John George.
Mr. and Mrs. Scheub are members of the Memorial Reformed church and Mr. Scheub gives his political allegiance to.the
republican party, which he has supported since age conferred upon him the right of franchise. He is well known
in Masonic circles, being a past master of Barton Smith Lodge, No. 613, F. & A. M., also belonging to Toledo
Chapter, No. 161, R. A. M.; Toledo Council, No. 33, R. & S. M., Toledo Commandery, No. 7, K. T.; and has attained
the thirty second degree in the Scottish Rite.
Mr. Scheub's residence is at No. 525 Raymer boulevard.
