Samuel E. Wise, deceased, was a veteran of the Civil War. He was born at Wadsworth, Ohio, Aug. 23, 1844, the
son of David and Sarah Wise. When the Civil War broke out he enlisted in Company K, 5th Ohio Volunteer Infantry
and was with Sherman on his March to the Sea. He was an active member of Buckley Post, Grand Army of the Republic,
and held many offices of the order. He died Sept. 5, 1919.
Mr. Wise was married Aug. 25, 1867, to Miss Margaret A. Seacrist, who resides at Akron, Ohio. To them were born
five daughters: Mrs. F. Andrews, lives at Akron, Ohio; Della, deceased; Mrs. Wallace; Mrs. George H. Kuhilke. lives
at Akron; and Miss Edith E. Wise, who lives at Akron, Ohio.
