Miss Carrie A. Scully, manager of the Leetonia Telephone Company, is one of the well known business women of
Columbiana County. She was born in this city and is the daughter of John and Catherine (Finn) Scully.
John Scully, deceased, was a native of Ireland. When a young boy he migrated to this country and settled in Columbiana
County. For many years he was identified with the McKeefrey Iron Company. He died May 9, 1918.
Miss Carrie A. Scully attended the public schools of Leetonia and Detroit, Mich., from which she was graduated.
She spent nine years in the telephone company's employ at Detroit, Mich., and in 1918 assumed her present position
as manager of the local branch of the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. In 1922 the Ohio Bell Telephone Company and
Chesapeake & Ohio Telephone Company were consolidated as the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. The local company
