Patrick J. O'Farrell, a veteran of the World War, is among WellsviIle's prominent young business men. He was
born in East Liverpool, Feb. 20, 1897, and is the son of William and Bridget (O'Keefe) O'Farrell.
William O'Farrell is a native of East Liverpool and has spent his entire life engaged in the local potteries. His
wife was born in Ireland. They had two children: John, died in infancy; and Patrick J., the subject of this sketch.
Patrick J. O'Farrell attended the parochial schools of East Liverpool and was graduated from high school in 1915.
He spent two years in the employ of the East Liverpool Traction Company and five years with the Pittsburgh Crucible
Steel Company. At the outbreak of the World War he enlisted and was sent to Camp Taylor, Ky. He served with an
ambulance unit for 11 months and was discharged at Camp Sherman, Ohio. Mr. O'Farrell was connected with the C.
A. Smith Company, contractors of East Liverpool, until 1924, when he entered the employ of the Manufacturers Light
& Heat Company at East Liverpool. He is now in charge of the Company's office at Wellsville.
Mr. O'Farrell is a Democrat, a member of the Catholic Church and belongs to the Knights of Columbus and Elks.
