Dr. Walter Charles Nevin has been a successful and well known physician and surgeon of Lisbon for the past 35
years. He was born near New Waterford in Columbiana County, Sept. 1, 1861, the son of John and Deuira (Brewster)
John Nevin, deceased, was a native of Columbiana County and was a prosperous merchant and farmer of Middleton and
Center townships for a number of years. He died Jan. 22, 1916 His wife was the daughter of John T. Brewster, and
was born in Petersburg, Columbiana County, in 1841. She resides with her son, Dr. Nevin, the subject of this sketch.
Dr. Walter Charles Nevin was reared in Lisbon and attended the schools of this place, as well as Geneva Falls and
Bellevue, N. Y. He was graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, in 1890, and has since been engaged
in the practice of his profession in Lisbon.
On Jan. 28, 1892, Doctor Nevin was united in marriage with Miss Della Morrow, of Lisbon, the daughter of Robert
and Della (McMichael) Morrow, both deceased. Doctor and Mrs. Nevin have a son, Bruce Morrow, born June 6, 1903,
lives in Lisbon, Ohio.
Doctor Nevin is a Republican, a member of the United Presbyterian Church, and has served as a member of the board
of health and is a member of the Columbiana County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He is
a progressive man and is held in highest esteem throughout the county.
