E. A. Nelson is one of Lisbon's well known young men, where he is station agent for the Erie Railroad. He was
born at Ridgeway, Pa., Nov. 25, 1895, and is the son of M. O. and Hannah (Anderson) Nelson, residents of Warren,
Ohio. Mr. Nelson is a general farmer.
After completing his schooling at Warren, Ohio, E. A. Nelson taught school for three years in that city, after
which he entered the employ of the Erie Railroad at Phalanx, Ohio. He was located at Mantua, Ohio, for one year
and since Jan. 1, 1924, has been serving as local agent at Lisbon. Four men are employed in this office: J. E.
Maskrey, chief clerk; Gene Webber, clerk; Fred Ball, yard clerk; and E. A. Nelson.
On Feb. 7, 1925, Mr. Nelson was united in marriage with Miss Anna Morris, of Lisbon, the daughter of John and Anna
Morris.
Politically, Mr. Nelson is a Republican. He holds membership in the Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge, Independent
Order of Odd Fellows, and American Legion. He is held in high esteem by all who know him.
Mr. Nelson served during the World War from May, 1917, until February, 1919. He was a member of Company B, 47th
Infantry. He saw service in France and was gassed in the battle of the Argonne Forrest. He was also engaged in
the St. Mihiel Drive.
