Homer H. Lehman is among the well liked and successful business men of Columbiana, where he is engaged in the
hardware business. He was born on a farm near Columbiana, Aug. 29, 1880, and is the son of David and Salinda (Blosser)
David Lehman, who lives retired, is a substantial and highly esteemed citizen of Mahoning County, where he has
spent his entire life. During his active career he was successfully engaged in farming. Mr. and Mrs. Lehman have
six children: Homer H., the subject of this sketch; Alma, Mary, Clarence, Effie, and Elmer.
After completing his schooling, Homer H. Lehman entered the employ of Mr. A. Greenmayer, pioneer hardware dealer
of Columbiana. After several years Mr. Lehman was made a partner in the business and from 1908 until 1922 the firm
was known as Lehman & Schaffer. Since 1922 Mr. Lehman has conducted the business alone, which is among the
well established businesses of its kind in Columbiana County. Mr. Lehman handles general hardware and oil well
supplies and also deals in stoves, household utensils, electrical supplies, radios, radio supplies, paints, glass,
auto accessories, steel pipe, pipe fittings, etc.
On April 23, 1908, Mr. Lehman was united in marriage with Miss Bertha Beye, the daughter of August and Lydia Beye,
of Fredonia, Pa. They have three children: Richard, born March 2, 1911; Eleanor, born Oct. 16, 1913; and Maurice,
born Dec. 20, 1917.
Mr. Lehman and his family hold membership in the Lutheran Church and he belongs to the Rotary Club.
