Paul A. Johnson is a reliable and well known young business man of Leetonia, where he is proprietor of Johnson's
Confectionary store. He was born at Leetonia, May 29, 1889, and is a son of Samuel A. and Frances (Crook) Johnson.
Samuel A. Johnson was an employee of the rolling mills in Leetonia for many years and later was associated in business
with his son. He died in October, 1923 and his wife died May 29, 1911. They are buried in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
Mr. Johnson established his present business in 1908 and it has been in the same location for the past eleven years,
at 244 Main Street. It is one of the finest stores of its kind in Columbiana County and has a large patronage.
On Oct. 2, 1908, Mr. Johnson was married to Miss Sarah Steel of Leetonia, a daughter of Amos and Mary (Swinehart)
Steel. Mr. and Mrs. Steel are both deceased and are buried at Lansing, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have one child,
Mary Frances, born June 24, 1912.
Mr. Johnson is a Republican, a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, is a member of the Kiwanis Club and the
Leetonia Business Men's Club. He is identified with the Masonic Lodge No. 401, Chapter Council of Salem, and the
Knights of Pythias of Leetonia.
