Christ Anas is an enterprising young business man of East Liverpool. He was born in San Floras, Greece, Oct.
27, 1898, and is the son of Gus and Agalo (Statharis) Anas.
Gus Anas is a prosperous farmer of San Floras, Greece, where he owns 100 acres of land. He raises grapes and olives
extensively and has his own wine and olive oil plants, dealing direct with the dealers. There are five children
in the Anas family, as follows: Christ, the subject of this sketch; James, lives in East Liverpool, where he is
associated in business with his brother; Ernest, Lamprine, and Anastatia, all students, who live at home.
Christ Anas grew up in his native land, attended the public schools and was associated with his father until 1917,
when he came to the United States. He lived in Chicago for one year and then went to Woodlawn, Pa., where he was
employed in the steel mills. He has lived in East Liverpool since 1921 and has had various business interests.
He conducted a restaurant business for some time and in 1924 established the National Billiard Parlors at 125 East
6th Street. He also deals in cigars and refreshments.
Mr. Anas is a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of East Liverpooi, and has a wide acquaintance in the city.
