HERMAN TREMPERT, farmer, P. O. Lima. is a native of Saxony, Germany, born in December. 1836; son of John and Mergaret (Miller) Trempert, who came with their family of four sons to America in 1850. settling in German Township, this county. where the father and mother died. One of the sons was killed in the late war of the Rebellion; the remaining three are now living: Charles. Edward and Herman. Our subject was married, in 1862, to Miss Mary Hany, of Montgomery County, Ohio (where he was then working), a native of Coshocton County, Ohio, and daughter of John and Mary Hany, also natives of Germany. Mr. Hanv died a few years since, and his widow now resides with our subject. To Mr. Trempert and wife have been born three children: Anna. Ella and Lizzie. He has 120 acres of land which he has improved, and on which he has good buildings, etc., and here he gives his attention to general farming and stock raising. In politics Mr. Trempert is a Democrat.
