JOHN Q. SMITH, Senator from the Fifth District, represents the counties of Greene, Clinton and Fayette. He was
born in 1824, in Warren county, Ohio. He is a farmer by profession.
He represented his district in the Senate, in the Fifty fourth General Assembly, and represented the district last
year on the Board of Equalization.
He was a member of the House of Representatives, in the Fifty fifth General Assembly, representing Clinton county.
