JOHN H. PUTNAM, Senator from the Sixth District, composed of the counties of Highland and Ross, was born April
3, 1835. He is a grandson of General Rufus Putnam.
He served two years in the late war, in the Thirty first regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
He represented Licking county in the Ohio Legislature during the years 1863, 1864, 1865 and 1866.
He is an editor by occupation, editing The Chillcothe Advertiser.
