JOHN W. MORRIS represents the Twelfth District in the Senate, which is composed of the counties of Miami, Darke
and Shelby. He was born at Troy, Ohio, July 12, 1844. He received a college education, having graduated at the
Miami University in 1860.
He is the youngest member of the present Senate. We have found Mr. Morris to be a thorough gentleman in whatever
we have had to do with him.
He has been twice elected Mayor of the city of Troy, which. we learn, is a Republican city. Mr. Morris is a Democrat,
a bold and active partisan. He is a lawyer by profession.
