ROBERT HILL, the member from Marion county, was born in Knox county, Ohio, near Mt. Vernon, 1821.
He removed with his father into Marion county in 1829, where his father built the fifth house ever erected in Scott
township. His education consisted in about six months attendance on the common school.
He was married in 1843 to Miss Mary Coen.
Mr. Hill is a farmer by profession. He was four years a County Commissioner, having served one term, and one year
of a second, when he resigned, on his election to the present House of Representatives.
He is a Democrat in politics, and is a member of the Finance Committee, and the Committee on Common Schools.
