Tallmadge, Milo, was born in Barkhamsted, Litchfield County, Conn., and became a resident of Benton, N. Y.,
in 1865. He purchased first, a farm near William T. Remer's, but in 1872 he bought his present place. The children
in Mr. Tallmadge's family are: Ellen, widow of the late Capt. Martin S. Hicks; Sarah, wife of Henry S. Rood, of
Benton, and Harvey C., who now manages the farm.
