Smith, John J., came to Starkey about 1812, and settled on a farm near Dundee, where he had six children, all
sons, three of whom are living, two in Wisconsin, and one in Watkins, N. Y. David was born about 1804, and died
in 1854, He was a farmer and married Nancy Plummer, by whom he had five children, two of whom survive, Hon. Clark
E., and John J. Both reside in Dundee.
