Nichols, Loring G., was born in Milo, August 22, 1822, the only survivor of four children born to Alexander
and Mary Nichols, the latter of whom will be remembered by a few of the older people of Milo as having been a tanner
and currier of the town. Loring G. was brought up in part to his father's trade but gave his attention more particularly
to farming. The old family homestead and farm are now his. At the age of twenty three Loring married Charlotte
Guile, daughter of Libbius B. and Minerva Guile, by whom he had four children, Libbius M., who married Lottie Sherman,
Andrew F., who married Frances Briggs, Minnie C. (Mrs. C. H. Jennings), and Dora M. (Mrs. Frank Owen). Mr. Nichols
is comfortably and pleasantly situated on his excellent farm, just south of Milo Center. In politics he is a Republican.
He has held some of the minor offices of the town. He is a member of the Second Milo Baptist church.
