Campbell, Thomas W., son of James B. and Nellie (Houghtaling) Campbell, was born in this town, May 22, 1856,
and was educated at the common schools and Starkey Seminary, after which he taught school for about six years.
He now owns a large farm in the western part of the town. In politics he is a Republican, and was justice of the
peace, and justice of sessions two terms each, and was elected supervisor at the last election. Mr. Campbell is
a contributor to the Penn Yan papers. In 1882 he married Mary, daughter of Oscar Conley, of this town, and they
have one child, Edna, eight years of age.
