Baxter, Gilbert, was born in Covert, Seneca County, N. Y., in June, 1839, and came with his father's family
to Milo in 1831. They settled on the Thomas Bennett farm on the east road, and here Gilbert has ever since lived.
Thomas Baxter, his father, died here in March, 1864. In October, 1852, Gilbert married Emeline Titus, of Milo,
by whom he had seven children, six of whom are living, viz.: Gilbert C., Ella, Lida, George, William, and M. Louise.
