Barden, Henry, son of Otis, was born in Benton in 1806. He graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons
in 1833, and began practice in his native town, continuing there for several years, locating finally in Penn Yang
about 1840, where he died in 1873. He married Caroline Purdy, of Benton, by whom he had two children, Helen, wife
of Cornelius S. Van Wyck, who resides in Benton, and W. W., a physician who resides in Penn Yang.
