Hurley, N. A., was born in Clyde August 19, 1876. His father, Dennis burley, was a native of the province of
Quebec, Lower Canada, and came to Clyde in 1864. N. A. burley was educated at the Clyde High School and entered
the employ of K Sands, remaining three years. In the spring of 1893 he established his present business, carrying
a large line of imported and domestic groceries and also a full stock of crockery. At the age of eighteen he married
Lizzie, daughter of Dennis Sheehan. Our subject is identified in advancing the best interests of the town, and
is a trustee of St. John's church.
