Hopkins, W. A., was born in Lyons, April 27, 1850. His father, Robert A., was also a native of the town. W.
A. Hopkins was educated in the Lyons High School, to which he has added through life by reading and close observation.
In 1889 he established his present business of grocer, confectioner and baker, and makes a specialty of fine teas
and coffees, and is one of the leading men in his line of business. At the age of twenty one he married Sallie
A., daughter of Gideon Robinson, of Lyons. Subject takes an active interest in educational and religious matters.
