Bullock, Ira, was born at Wolcott village in 1865, and is the son of Stephen E. and Martha Bullock, who came
from Pennsylvania in 1859. Stephen Bullock served four years in the civil war, with honor and distinction. Ira
was educated at Leavenworth Institute, Wolcott, and served as deputy postmaster in Wolcott for four years, during
his father's incumbency under Garfield. In 1893 be purchased a farm near Red Creek. April 27, 1892, he married
Ethel, daughter of Theodore Oakley of Wolcott, and they have one son, Stephen, born December 30, 1892.
