Blaker, Benjamin C., of Macedon Center, was born in Monroe county. July 24, 1830, a son of Petrocles Blaker,
a native of Pennsylvania, born in 1800, who came to New York State at an early day and settled in Henrietta, Monroe
county, where he took up farming. He never came to Wayne county to reside. He was a mason in early life, but in
his later years devoted his attention to farming. He married Mariah Larter, of New Jersey, by whom he had these
children: Mary J., Benjamin C., Thomas, Elizabeth, Beulah, Martha, and Ruth A., the latter and Elizabeth being
deceased. In 1858 our subject married Mary Fritts, of Monroe county, and they have four children: Minnie, who died,
aged nineteen years; Clarence, who is married and resides on the homestead; Nellie, a graduate of Macedon Academy;
and Dora, also a graduate of the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle.
