Allen, Charles E., was born in Ontario, May 1, 1861, the son of Jeremiah and Maria Grant Allen, natives of Ontario.
Jeremiah Allen was a farmer. He and his wife were members of the M. E. church. He died in September, 1882. Our
subject was reared on a farm, and educated in the Rochester Union Schools. He has always been a farmer and owns
seventy five acres of land. January 22, 1883, he married Ada Coyer of Oswego, and they have two children, Bertha
M. and Clifford F. Mrs. Allen is a daughter of Benjamin and Eliza Coyer, who. resided in Oswego many years, where
both died when Mrs. Allen was a child.
