Pinckney, the late Henry, was born in New York city, January 21, 1800, and came with his parents to this county
when two years old. He received his education in the district schools, and was always a farmer. He married first
Harriet Owen, of this town, and they had one son, Owen. For his second wife he married Caroline S. Follett, of
the town of Enfield, and they had seven children: Harriet, Margaret, Webb, John, jay, Levett, and Fred. Mr. Pinckney
died December 2, 1878, and his widow survives. Fred married Susie Kirby of this town. Mrs. Pinckney's father, Silas
Follett, was born in Winchester, January 28, 1786, and married first Hannah May, by whom he had four children,
Fanny, Emily, Harriet, and Sophronia. He married second Nancy Curry, of this county, and they had nine children:
William, James, Caroline, John, Betsey, Alexander, Lutherna, Pamelia S., and Mary. He died October 1, 1864, and
his wife August 23, 1862. Jay Pinckney now conducts the farm, Levett and Fred now owning a farm together next to
the county house farm.
