GEORGE L. FORD came from Washington, Litchfield county, Conn., to the town of Owego in the year 1840, and settled
on a farm near Gaskill Corners, where he afterward lived nearly all his life. He was a farmer, a substantial man
and worthy citizen. He died in 1891. His wife was Anna Thompson, with whom he was married in Ithaca. Their children
were Lewis, Lucius, Kate, Goodsell, Mary, Charles, Frank, Frederick, Emma, and three others who died in extreme
infancy. Lucius Ford, the contractor, of Owego, was the son of George L. Ford. He married with Ladorna Biker, July
31, 1879.
