Rex, Charles N., was born in Wayne county, N. Y., December 11, 1845. Jacob Rex, his father, was born in Pennsylvania,
in 1817, and moved to the town of Wayland in 1850, and settled on the farm now known as the Saxton farm. He is
still living in the town of Cohocton. In 1838 he married Olive Hall, who was born in Savannah, Wayne county, N.
Y., in 1813, and died in April, 1895. They had three sons: William H., born in Wayne county, March 22, 1843; Charles
N., born in Wayne county, December 11, 1845; and John W., born in Wayne county, November 9, 1848. Charles N. was
brought up on a farm and has always followed that business. In 1875 he purchased the farm where he now resides.
At Conesus, N. Y., March 17, 1869, he married Weltha A. Heath, who was born in Conesus, N. Y., December 2, 1846,
by whom he had two children: Myron E., born September 28, 1873, and graduated at the Hornellsville Business and
Shorthand College in March, 1893, and Bertha M., born October 4, 1875.
