Millard, Morgan R., was born in the town of Cameron, November 2, 1824. Reuben W. Millard, his father, was a native of Onondaga county, N. Y., and came to Steuben county in 1804. He married Sallie A. Hooker, of Providence, R. I., by whom he had five children. Morgan R. is a lumberman and farmer, owner of a saw mill and manufacturer of lumber and shingles; has been justice of the peace twenty years in his town, and practices law to some extent. He married Mary J. Fulton, of Canisteo, by whom he had two children: John H., who died at twenty four years of age, and Mrs. A. E. Waight, of Jasper. Mr. Millard is a member of Morning Star Lodge of Masons No. 65, and is and always was an abolition protectionist. In 1888 his wife, Mary J., died, and in 1893 he was married to Mrs. Shell, then a widow.
