Biography of David Freeman

Freeman, David, Waddington, was born in Waddington February 29, 1844, a son of John, a native of Wales, who went to England when two years of age, with his pa rents. He came to Canada, where he remained a short time, and then came to Waddington. He married twice, first Miss Page, by whom he had two children. She died and he married Mary Hessellgrave, a native of England and daughter of Thomas Hessellgrave, an early settler of Waddington, who emigrated to Illinois, Mr. Freeman and wife had four sons and three daughters. He died in Illinois, where his wife resides at present. David Freeman was reared on the farm his father settled, and which he now owns. He has 180 acres of land and keeps a dairy of sixteen cows, He married in 1866, Isahelle Robson, a native of Madrid, hy whom he has two sons and six daughters: Judith J., Eunice A., John W., Mary N., Frank A., Florence L., Bertha E. and Fannie B. Mr. Freeman is a Republican and he and family attend and support the Presbyterian church of Waddington.
