Allen, Thomas, Hammond, was born in Hammond, January 28, 1839. He has been a farmer all his life and is today
one of the largest land owners in the town. In 1867 he married Catherine Rodger, and they have two sons and two
daughters: Horace, William, Mrs. Almon Chase, and Mrs. James McGregor. Mr. Allen is interested to sonic extent
in the breeding of Holstein cattle. He is a prominent member of the Presbyterian church. His father was William
Allen and his mother Annie (Hoag) Allen. They settled in Hammond in 1818.
