Rourk, Margaret. - The late Patrick Rourk was born in the North of Ireland in 1803. He was educated in the schools
of his day, and came to the United States in the twenty fourth year of his age and located in Troy. After a period
of two years he came to Lansingburgh. He was a cooper by trade and conducted a large cooperage for many years.
In. 1829 he married Catherine Cosgrom, of his native country, by whom eight children have been born: John, Anna,
Thomas, Mary, Frank, Patrick, Catherine and Margaret. The four sons are dead, and Anna married Terrance Duffy,
of New York city. Mary married John Ryan, of Lansingirgh. The two younger daughters are not married. Mr. Rourk
gained a competency by industry and fair dealing. He died July 24, 1887, and his widow died August 14, 1888.
