Nichols, Freborn M., was born in Otsego county in 1837, and came to Oswego county the same year with his parents,
David and Betsey (Matteson) Nichols, who in 1867 moved from the farm in town of Mexico to the village of Mexico,
and died there in 1879 and 1887 respectively. Mr. Nichols married in 1866 Cora Harvey, and has two children, Henry
D. and Ettie G. Mrs. Nicholas's father, C. H. Harvey, was one of the early pioneers from New Hampshire, located
at Colosse, where he died in 1883. He was born in 1802, was postmaster of Colosse about forty years, and constable
a number of terms.
