Jamieson, Fred, was born in 1852, son of John 3d, the grandson of John and great grandson of John, who lived
in Glasgow, Scotland. The father of our subject was one of the prominent men in the early days in Amboy. He died
in 1887, leaving five sons, the oldest son living being Fred, who owns the homestead and is a farmer. His older
brother died some years ago. His wife is Pauline, daughter of Charles Le Clair of Parish, and they have four daughters,
Arabell, Lillie, Emma and Captolia. Mr. Jamieson has held several offices of trust, having been elected commissioner
of highways in 1891, and serving as overseer of the poor during the years 1892, '93 and '94.
