Davis L. F., of Oswego Falls, is the son of the late Peleg Davis, who settled in New Haven as early as 1801.
L. F. Davis married Belle M., daughter of Henry Stacy, who kept the hotel in New Haven for thirty years, and was
also propristor of various other hotels, and a man of much prominence in the community, having served as justice
of the peace for a long term of years. Mr. and Mrs. Davis were married December 8, 1869, and for many years conducted
the Broadway Hotel at Oswego Falls. They have had two children: Eva Belle, who died August 2, 1888, aged seven
years; and Fannie L., wife of Erwin L. Van Buskirk of Syracuse, by whom she has two sons, William F. and Charles
E. Mr. Davis is now a traveling salesman, representing a New York furnishing house, and his family occupies a pleasant
home on Fourth street in Oswego Falls.
