Bonner, R. C. - His father, Joseph M., was born in Floyd, and came to Orwell in 1830, having married Dorcas
Tripp, of Floyd. Their family consisted of eight childien, of whom but two are living, our subject and his brother,
Allen G., who lives in Richland. Joseph M. was the son of John, who was also born in Floyd, and his father, Samuel,
was the first Bonner to come to America, having been pressed into military service. He came here with Burgoyne's
army, which he soon left and joined the colonists. He died in Orwell at the age of one hundred and two years. R.
C. Bonner was born March 10, 1840, and has lived on a farm all his life. He married Mary Vary of this town. They
have two sons, Joseph M., born April 7, 1877, and Harry B., born August 28, 1881.
