Tompkins, E. M., M. D., was born in Knowlesville February 25, 1854, and was educated at Albion and Medina Academies,
preparatory to taking a medical course in Buffalo University, from which he graduated in 1878. He also took a course
in the College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York. In 1882 he married Hattie Eggleston, and they have two
children: Hartwell E., and Albert E. Dr. Tompkins is a son of Dr. H. O. Tompkins, of Knowlesville, and is a partner
with his father.
