Posson, Edward, was born in Schoharie county, August 2, 1841. He was educated in Genesee College, came to Ridgeway
and followed farming some time, then studied law in the office of Judge Childs three years and was admitted to
the bar in 1874. In 1875 he was elected school commissioner and filled the position nine years. He was then a partner
in the law firm of Pitts, Posson & Sherwood fot six years. In 1879 was again elected school commissioner for
three years, since which time he has been precticing law by himself. He was president of the village of Medina
in 1876, 1880, 1881 and 1882, and president of the Board of Education many years. In 1862 Mr. Posson married Helen
Noble, who diel in 1863. In 1864 he married Samantha A. Williams, and they have three children: Neal F., Myra K.,
and Verna.
